3 There are two types of observations: Qualitative Observations:
Things you can observe with your senses ex: color, texture, taste, odor Quantitative Observations: Measurements – with numbers ex: height, mass, temperature,

4 Test your knowledge: Your teacher will give you some cards.
Divide your notes vertically into a giant T Your teacher will give you some cards. Sort them into two piles: qualitative observations and quantitative observations. After everyone on your team agrees, write them in your notebook under two headings written on the giant T: Qualitative Quantitative

5 Now make some SWEET observations…
