6. Involving the People in Poverty
People with direct experience bring important insights to processes such has TPB
May need additional support to be involved – capacity building, covering of expenses etc.
Should be wary of tokenism – need for involvement of more than one individual
Involvement should be structured through some process – not a representational role, but needs transparency
Involvement should seek to reflect the realities and dynamics of poverty 6

7. Involving other Stakeholders
List of potential stakeholders very wide – priorities need to be established
Should consider means of recruitment – formal applications will increase transparency. May also considered targeted recruitment
Need to address issues of equalities – must reflect the realities of poverty
Should take into account the ability of members to engage with wider networks 7
