2 Fact versus Inference Your observations and collection of data will lead you to make statements of fact and statements of inference. You will have to be able to analyze your statements and identify which are fact and which are inference.

Qualitative Observations: gathered using 5 senses Example: color, texture etc. Measureable Quantitative Observation Uses numbers Does not depend on prior experience Is not subject to opinion
