2 Figure 1 Genomewide linkage scan for periodic catatonia–susceptibility loci. The multipoint nonparametric Zlr scores (GH-PLUS) are computed for the whole panel of 12 families. The X-axis represents the genetic location on the 22 autosomes; chromosomes are arranged, by number, from pter to qter, on a linear scale (in cM); and the Y-axis represents the nonparametric Zlr score. Evidence for linkage was obtained at chromosome 15q15 with Zlr = 4.05 (P=2.6×10−5). A second susceptibility locus is on chromosome 22q13 (Zlr=2.92; P=1.8×10−3).
