Discuss the following questions with your table group BE PREPARED TO SHARE WITH THE CLASS Geography Skills 1. Which of the three colonial regions had the fewest Loyalists (those who supported Britain)? Why do you think that is? 2. Based on the maps, in which colonies do you predict the goal of independence would have been strongest? Use information from the map to explain why. Critical Thinking 3. Look at the population density map. How does the amount of settlement along the coast of the 13 colonies compare to the amount of settlement farther inland? What is one possible reason for that?
