2. What does it look like? The red fox has large ears.
It has long, bushy tail.
The red fox has black lower legs and feet.
They have sharp curved claws on feet.
It uses it's tail to keep it warm, to communicate with other foxes and to help with its balance

3. Habitat It lives in many different habitats.
Foxes can be found in forests and woodlands.
They live in a den.

4. Protection Predators of the fox include the Wolf and man. .
Foxes will double back on their own tracks in order to confuse their enemies.

The female fox is called a Vixen.
The baby fox is called a Kit or a Cub
Foxes are very clever
Sometimes a fox will catch a mouse just to play with it, rather than eating it. When it grows bored it lets the mouse go.

6. Diet They like to eat small mammals. They are nocturnal.
They eat mice, rabbits, and squirells.
They also eat birds and bugs.
If they live near people, they might eat dog food, or fruits and berries from your garden
They occasionally snatch chickens from chicken coops
