Long scarves, sleeves, big jewelry should not be worn on cooking days. Shoes with enclosed toes are safest to wear in the kitchens. If you have cut on your hand, you must wear a bandage and a plastic glove or you may do a different job until it heals. No licking fingers! No coughing, sneezing, or blowing nose around the food. Knives must be used with extreme caution and care.

10 Hot mitts or potholders must be used.
Only food set out for the class to cook is to be used. Other food is saved for other classes cooking projects. It isn’t fair to them to use up their ingredients. There will be no rough housing or playing in the kitchens. No sitting on tables or countertops. Our bottoms do not belong where we are cooking and eating. If you use, put it back. If you dirty it, clean it up. Put things in their correct places so we will be able to find it next time. No tasting food and then returning same spoon to dish.
