Introduction Introduce yourself and verify you are speaking with the patient Advise the patient put you on speaker phone if they are able Ask the patient how much they have completed prior to this call Did they open the box?.. Watch the videos?... Plug the device in?... Set a goal for this call “The goal for this call is to make sure you’re comfortable getting started with your therapy. We will be following up again in a few days to see how you’re doing.”
10
Complete a modem manual upload
This step will download the patients RX setting onto their device Helpful Tips The only action you need to take to download the patients RX is resetting the modem There is no need to go into the “My Setup” menu and discuss the “Modem” icon for this reset to work If the modem does not connect properly, the patient may see: Try unplugging the device, plugging it back in and doing the modem manual upload again If the modem manual upload still fails, please continue the setup and notify the Philips contact at the bottom of the setup form.
11
Pressure Verification
After doing a manual up load of the modem you will need to check the pressure on the patients device is correct Have the patient turn the device on so the air is blowing The starting pressure in the blue circle should match the starting pressure on the setup form Helpful Tips Avoid telling the patient what their pressure should be, instead ask them what they see on the screen EX: CPAP 12.0 cmh2o on the setup form -- verify device starts at 12.0 cmh2o You only need to verify the starting pressure is correct – you will be unable to verify max pressure when pressure settings are a range EX: AutoCPAP 5-20 cmh2o -- verify device starts at 5.0 cmh2o
