2. What is V-Volunteer? Component of Raptor/V-Soft
Allows online logging of volunteer hours
Captures the hours of evening, weekend and at-home volunteers
As we work to expand volunteer opportunities for parents and community members, we realize that not all volunteering happens within the walls of the school building.
What kinds of volunteer activities does your school have that occur outside the building and outside of school hours?
Many hours of credit are being lost to schools and to the county in general each year because volunteers are not keeping track of their hours and entering them into the Raptor database. V-Volunteer makes this possible to be done online from any location.

3. How can a volunteer use V-Volunteer?
Step 1 – be sure your address is entered in your volunteer profile.
This assumes that the volunteer’s information is already in the Raptor system. If you are working with a new volunteer, follow the regular instructions (i.e., scan their license, etc.).

4. If the volunteer’s information is already in the system and they want to be able to use v-volunteer to log in their “out of school” or “out of the school day” hours, first, pull up their profile.

5. Click on “Edit Volunteer”.

6. Check to be sure that no email address is recorded for that volunteer
Check to be sure that no address is recorded for that volunteer. Enter their address.

7. Click “submit”.

8. How can a volunteer use V-Volunteer?
Step 2 – You will received an automatic from Raptor. It will list:
The address Raptor has on file for you.
A temporary password (you can change this at any time)
The v-volunteer url:

9. How can a volunteer use V-Volunteer?
Step 3 – Log in to V-Volunteer at:
From any computer with an internet connection, the volunteer can then log in to the v-volunteer website.

10. The volunteer enters her/his address, password (the one they created for this account) and hits “Login”. If the volunteer has forgotten their password or gets a message that the password is invalid, click on “Forgot your password?” and then follows the steps to reset their password.

11. The volunteer’s profile should appear
The volunteer’s profile should appear. Check to be sure the correct school shows in the upper left hand corner. Click on “Log hours” under “Shortcuts”. Enter the required information and click on “Add hours”. Look at My History and be sure your hours are logged correctly. Then exit the profile.
