With the introduction of TrueSTEAM, the world of humidification systems is vastly different today than it was just a few years ago.
Even if you've been installing humidifiers for 20 years, it is important to recognize that TrueSTEAM is a new technology that requires new approaches to quoting, installing, commissioning and maintaining each unit.
This module will provide a brief overview of what can be found in each of the following six modules.
The modules are separated out by topics allowing you to choose which areas you would like to focus on, however, before getting started with TrueSTEAM Humidification Systems, Honeywell recommends that you review each of the modules in this series, which is designed to take you through the total TrueSTEAM experience.

3. Module 2: Selecting & Sizing
Understanding Industry Standards & Guidelines for sizing

Trade-offs of different humidifier types
Module 2 will give you the information you need to make sure you select and size the right humidification solution for every home. Included is a detailed explanation of industry standards and guidelines for sizing - as well as how to calculate humidity load requirements - which can be different for every home. By understanding proper specifications for humidification, you can make educated decisions on what TrueSTEAM or other type of humidifier to use for each job.

4. Module 3: Basic Installation

Module 3 takes you through the steps for a basic TrueSTEAM installation. Basic installation is any application where the equipment is located in an unfinished space with access to a main floor drain, and where TrueSTEAM will be mounted directly to the ductwork. In addition to outlining step-by-step instructions to basic installation, this module provides best practices and cautionary measures for avoiding common installation mistakes.

5. Module 4: Advanced installation

This module will also cover additional auxiliary plumbing that may be required for advanced installs, as well as step-by-step instructions, best practices and cautionary measures for avoiding common installation errors.

Module 5 is geared specifically towards wiring and configuring different control options for TrueSTEAM Humidification Systems. You'll get an understanding of available TrueSTEAM controls, the features and benefits that each has to offer, and how to properly wire and configure TrueSTEAM to work with different controls. Proper control setup ensures that TrueSTEAM will operate to maximize homeowner comfort.

7. Module 6: LED User Interface

Module 6 walks through the LED interface panel of TrueSTEAM and provides a basic understanding of functionality for each light. By understanding how each works, you'll be able to easily diagnose the system when needed - either from the job site or over the phone. The module will also outline what questions to ask and what steps to take in order to troubleshoot the system during service calls.
