By: Amy, Mikaili and Ian

2 Table of Contents Nicolaus Copernicus - Mikaili
Leonardo Da Vinci - Amy Francois Viete - Ian

3 What They Did Francois Viete invented algebra and solved various equations. Leonardo Da Vinci was an accomplished artist, engineer, inventor and scientist. Nicolaus was a Canon.

4 What They Studied Francois studied mathematics and law.
Leonardo taught himself about anatomy, flight, physics and other topics. Nicolaus studied Science and Math, Law, Medicine, but also was interested in cosmos.

5 Nicolaus Copericus Who He Was
He was born on February 19, 1473, in Torun, Poland. He is the fourth and youngest child, he was born to Nicolaus Copericus Sr., and Barbara Watzenrode. At ten Nicolaus father died and Nicolaus uncle Bishop of Varmia Lucas Watzenrode took on the role of father.

6 Nicolaus Copernicus Sudies
Went to Cracow. Studied Science and Math. He didn't study cosmos but over the years got interested in it. When he returned to Toron, where he upheld the position of a canon’s person. Canon - A High Priest.

7 Nicolaus Copernicus Sudies pt.II
He went to the University of Bologna, to study in law. While he talked to Domenico Maria Novara about the cosmos. Then he went to the University of Padua to study practical medicine, but did not get a degree. Then he went to the University of Ferrara to do a Cannon Exam and passed.

8 Nicolaus Copernicus Accomplishments
Went to Concow. Became a Cannon. Went to University of Bologna. University of Padua. University of Ferrara to do a Cannon Exam and passed. And lived rest of his life as a Cannon.

9 Leonardo da Vinci Who He Was
Notary: A person who practices common law. Born April 15, 1452, in Vinci Italy. Son of a Attorney Notary and a peasant girl, had several step mothers Mostly noted as an artist, but had contributions to the fields of invention, architecture, science, and other outlets of his talents.

10 Leonardo Da Vinci Studies
Self taught Human cadaver dissection Was not a scientist of theory, he observed and used facts to describe things. He drew sketches of “human flying devices” by watching birds. Invented the plane 600 years early.

11 Leonardo Da Vinci Accomplishments
Drew sketches of the first humanoid robot. Aerial screw or helicopter. Mona Lisa Extensive knowledge of anatomy and procedures. At 14, he was an apprentace of one of the best painters of all time, Andrea del Verrocciho

13 World Views of da Vinci Da Vinci lived in a time when the rich had powers over the poor. He believed that animals should have the same rights to life as humans. Da Vinci showed sympathy to people by caring for siblings, he was on of 8 siblings.

14 Francois Viete who he was
Francois Viete was born on the year 1540 and died february He spent most of his life in one of the richest towns in Italy known as Florence. He was inspired to go into mathematics by his mother.

15 Francois Viete who he was continued
Francois also had a trade in law. He was the lawyer for both Henry the III and Henry the IV. Francois was convicted of protestantism, meaning he was believed to be an atheist.

16 Francois Viete Studies
Most of his work consisted of mathematics He wrote a code for Henry the III and Henry the IV so he could communicate in silence. He work on the calculation of symbols, or as we know it the letters in algebra.

17 Francois Viete accomplishments
He cracked a spanish code that consisted of 500 hundred charters He left money for his family when he died He also solved several various mathematical equations

18 Francois Viete World View
Francois Viete in my opinion would have a bit of a spoiled view living in the richest city. Even though he was a hard worker he probably never thought about people in a poorer place. I also feel that he was a bit rebellious. Seeing as he was an atheist in a christian fanatic town.

19 Francois Viete World View Continued
Francois seem to do a lot of projects with the kings so i feel he benefits from their relationship. Francois was one of the lesser mathematicians so there is very few information on how he behaved or acted.

20 Francois Viete World Veiws
He was affected by his worldviews because… His town was governed by Pope so when he became a Cannon he was high power. Traveled a lot for Universities so he learned a lot from being in different places.
