Reflections on Lessons Learned

2 Hybrid Role Navigators often play the duel role of tutor/navigator
Benefits of all tutors going through the training Navigation as an approach Notes to presenter: Description of what you learned in your own words on one side. Include information about the topic Details about the topic will also be helpful here. Tell the story of your learning experience. Just like a story there should always be a beginning, middle and an end. On the other side, you can add a graphic that provides evidence of what you learned. Feel free to use more than one slide to reflect upon your process. It also helps to add some video of your process.

Often requests are career or social services oriented Sharing lessons learned Look too much at big goal and don’t see small improvements Are nervous about talking to students about goals

Create “I can” statements Celebrate small victories Connect acomplishments to new areas Build Confidence Measure progress not just in outcomes, but in effort and attitude as well Collect and share success stories Success is not big or flashy, there are no overnight shifts, but instead small changes that manifest themselves on a long-term scale
