Memory Work for April
titled “Pitter Patter”, will be recited on Thursday, April 26th.
Please continue to work with your child on addition and subtraction math facts at home. Remember they are being timed so that is an important part of practicing at home! They will be tested on -4’s for the next 2 weeks.
This week we will begin fluency practice with passages. There is a recording sheet for you to initial showing what you worked on each night. This will be our reading homework from now until the end of the year. Thank

Students will practice at home during the week, and will read a passage to me on Friday for a fluency grade.
The passage they read on Friday will be a “cold read”, meaning that it will be one they haven’t practiced on.
By practicing at home, you will help them to be more successful when they have to read on their own on Friday for a fluency grade.
