3 INTRODUCTION The NITF is a concept to bridge the Gap in Vaccine Value Chain Financing for Nigeria 2016 and beyond It will serve as an independent body that will advocate and mobilize for funds towards routine and supplemental immunizations in Nigeria The NITF will ride on two principles: NHA, Appropriation Sustainable Financing Individuals Donors Complementary Financing

5 FG is currently bearing the cost of the traditional vaccines (BCG, OPV, HepB, DPT, Measles and YF)

To source for funds that will bridge gap in immunization for 2016 and beyond To ensure that every child gets the appropriate doses of RI vaccine in the country To ensure that benefits of immunization are extended to every eligible person living within Nigeria.

8 SCOPE To meet its objectives, the NITF will solicit the support of the FGoN, State Govts, Organized Private Sector, NGOs, FBOs, CSOs & Individuals across the country; International Funders Beneficiaries Primary: All persons eligible for immunization in Nigeria Secondary: Central Govt – vaccines, cold chain & infrastructure, manpower development, surveillance State level – immunization service delivery

NIFT Nominees Notable Philanthropists Organized Private Sector CSOs NGOs FMOH (NPHCDA) Federal Ministry of Finance NIFT will serve as the Secretariat to the NITF Membership should NOT exceed 15 persons at any given time

10 NITF BOT TERMS OF REFERENCE (PROPOSED)
Advocate and mobilize for resources to bridge the immunization funding gap Act as guardian and custodian of the Trust Fund Ensure that the funds generated shall be utilized appropriately for the sole purpose of immunization Provide feedback to stakeholders on the activities of the Trust Fund

Individuals can dial the short code to donate money directly from their mobile phones Using Bulk SMSs Strategy to inform, educate and mobilize Social Media (Twitter & Facebook) Online trending topic using the hash-tag (#) e.g. #Immunization4All and also the USSD short codes on Twitter A fan page for NITF on Facebook to inform and educate the public
