3 ‘Zero Harm’ Safety Campaign
To Revitalise Ingwe’s Zero Harm Safety Initiatives, Ingwe’s President and COO, Mahomed Seedat, launched a ‘Zero Harm’ Safety Campaign. The campaign equipped each and every employee with a ‘Red Card’ which gives him or her the authority to stop any unsafe situation at work. The launch of the campaign was held at Vandyksdrift Recreation Club on Monday, 28th June 2004 and almost 400 Ingwe employees attended the event and displayed great support and commitment to the new campaign. The ‘Red Card’ has the following printed on it: “I Mahomed Seedat, in my capacity as President and Chief Operating Officer of Ingwe Collieries, hereby authorise the card holder to stop any person deemed to be at risk, or any activity considered to be unsafe”. The flip side of the ‘Red Card’ has the 5 ‘Life Saving Rules’ printed on it. Energy Coal – Ingwe Collieries Ltd 10/12/2018
