3. 2018 Utah Legislation – Commercial Waste Fees
House Bill 169 – Commercial Waste Fee Amendments
Modifies fees paid by owner of commercial radioactive waste treatment or disposal facility:
Reduces the annual fee paid by the owner of a commercial radioactive waste treatment or disposal facility that receives radioactive waste.
Credits the amount of tax paid toward the flat fee and appropriates that amount from the General Fund. If the Legislature fails to appropriate adequate funds, the owner or operator pays the balance.

4. 2018 Utah Legislation – Joint Resolution to Create Solid Waste Landfill
Senate Joint Resolution 11 – Authorizes EnergySolutions to create a landfill for non-radioactive waste
Grants provisional legislative approval for construction and operation of a Class VI (construction-demolition waste) commercial nonhazardous solid waste landfill:
