5 Cuts to local services and the welfare reform in 2017 has definitely had an impact on the project and individuals : 1. Our rough sleeper numbers continue to be between 45-50% of users of the project. 2. The welfare reform has enforced a new theme of homelessness and increased the need in the vulnerably housed. 3. Safeguarding vulnerable adults incidences have increased by at least 70%. 4. Risk to self and others have increased by at least 50%. 5. We have experienced a high of 385 visits a week at a time when resources are limited and funding has becoming more competitive.

6 Our response to changes and increase in need
Implementation of a new staff structure: 3 project workers each session instead of 2 to support volunteers The creation of 2 Senior Project Worker roles Implementation of an administrator role The creation of a part time Fundraising Coordinator role Our response to changes and increase in need A training package for staff and volunteers that included Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Mental Health First Aid training. Recruitment of additional food groups. Enhancing the volunteer role and responsibilities through consultation, team development and procedures/policies.
