Validation of Periodity Detection Visually apparent periodic bipolar EGMs are shown from 2 different sites in the left atrium. (A) The PiCA cost function of the bipolar EGM has a local minimum (below red threshold) at a periodicity CL 135 ms. Local activations with the same periodicity CL are annotated in the bipolar and unipolar EGM using our graph search algorithm (red dotted lines). The unipolar EGMs have RS complexes. (B) The PiCA cost function has a local minimum at a periodicity CL 169 ms. Local activations are annotated showing QS unipolar EGM morphology. (C) PiCA-derived periodicity CL was validated against visually derived CL among bipolar EGMs with visually apparent periodic activity (r = 0.96; p < 0.01). (D) Bland-Altman plot showed excellent agreement (mean error 0.3 ± 2.2 ms) between the two. Abbreviations as in Figure 1.
