Setting up VE7CC USER For DX, Domestic etc By KG5VK

3 Select The Country Tab Currently I have Everything in NA to be Passed This was my setting during the WPX contest

4 Notice we have not told cluster Any Spot Sources !
There is no Number next to NA for Spotter Country None of the North America Prefixes have been chosen

5 Now we have selected “K”
NA now shows a One by it, remember we must Tell Cluster our changes

6 We also Identify which states we get spots from
Make sure you select Pass or Reject and Tell Cluster

7 Now back to the country Tab and set it up for the worked all Asia Contest
Make sure Pass is selected and Then Tell cluster !

8 Make sure you use Configuration to Send Spots to Logging Software

9 Before you get to this screen you must be disconnected from any cluster
Next slide shows disconnecting from Cluster…

10 See bottom left corner of this screen shot
“Bye” then Enter key, disconnects us from cluster

11 Getting the Spots from VE7CC User
Now for the Fun Part… Getting the Spots from VE7CC User to N1MM+ Open The Telnet Window in N1MM+

12 N1MM+ Telnet Window Click on Clusters, we will Add One using Edit…

13 In Telnet Window… Click on the “Clusters” Tab Now Click on “Edit List”

14 Just Double Click on the Blue Highlighted Area to add a new IP Address

15 Editing the Cluster List
is the usual address for a Local port on your computer after the Colon :7300 is the Port I told VE7CC User to send spots to Adding a string of zeros to the front of the title allows the new address to be found near the top of the Clusters List The Name can be anything that makes sense to you URL (address) must conform to computer Lingo

16 Connecting to the “New” Cluster address
Scroll to your new entry and select it Click on “Connect to 0000 VE7CCUser” or your named address You may select to automatically Logon Use “Logon with” if the software you use requires it (VE7CC User expects your call sign)

17 But wait there is more…. I have several tools I want N1MM+ to gather spot info from…. ViewProp, CW Skimmer, as well as VE7CC User Here is how we do that……….

18 We need another Software tool
What we use is WinTelnetX Available from K1TTT’s web server It’s a small file and it is FREE
