1. Welcome to Fifth Grade Advanced Math

2. 5th Grade Advanced Math
Students will be with me every day during their entire 80 minute Math block. Their grades will also be reported by me.
We will cover all of the 5th grade standards through in-depth questioning, performance tasks and real-world application.
We will move at a faster pace and students will take alternate assessments.

3. 5th Grade Advanced Math Topics Covered include:
Place Value and Decimal Fractions
Multiplying and Dividing Whole Numbers and Decimals
Addition and Subtraction of Fractions
Multiplication and Division of Fractions and Decimal Fractions
Addition and Multiplication with Volume and Area
Problem Solving with the Coordinate Plane
We will begin to explore 6th grade standards.

4. 5th Grade Advanced Math
Homework is listed on my webpage along with upcoming assessments.
There is a link on my webpage that explains how to create a Great Minds account.
Students have a Zearn account which is optional. Students will also be using Khan Academy.
Information will be coming out in late October regarding conferences. Parents will sign up for a separate 10 minute conference with me.
