1. Ser and estar with adjectives

2. Introduction
The verbs SER and ESTAR can be used together with many adjectives. The meaning of the sentence will change depending on which one is chosen.

3. SER + adjectives
SER is used with adjectives to describe the qualities of a person, place or thing (what someone or something is like).
Examples:
Marta es fuerte
Marta is strong
La casa es roja
The house is red
Texas es un estado grande
Texas is a large state

4. ESTAR + adjectives
ESTAR is used with adjectives to describe conditions that are true at a given time but not inherit qualities. It is also used to describe how we feel about a certain person or object.
Examples:
Marta está alegre
Luis is happy
Sara está delgada
Sara is thin
Jaime está cansado
Jaime is tired

Enojado/a Angry
Cerrado/a Closed
