2 What is the problem? Problem-Scouts don’t have any drive to motivate themselves during meetings. Effect-Starts rubbing off onto the newer scouts

3 MOTIVATION!! Motivation is key to “Kick-Start” a program
Motivated scouts = Motivated Troop + Motivated Leaders

4 Being a motivated leader
To be a motivated leader, you must have faith in what you’re doing If you don’t think that you are doing it right, you aren’t!

5 How to get people motivated
Show people that there is still hope in what you are thriving for. If people believe you, you’ll slowly start getting more and more people to join your cause.

6 People to stay away from
Some people, are just going to be straight up obnoxious when you’re trying to do something. These people, seem as if they shouldn’t even be converted. Assign them a different leader

7 People you should aim for
The people you should aim at grabbing are the people who are motivated and willing to do stuff. These people, are the people that are going to help you.

8 Outside forces NEVER LET OUTSIDE FORCES INTERACT WITH YOUR PLAN!
Good leaders, know how to keep outside problems outside!

9 How to Lead by Example When leading by example, you do what you want your followers to do. You do only good things when setting an example.

10 Confidence You must have confidence when being a leader.
Having confidence, will boost your self-esteem.

11 Self-Esteem If you have a positive self-esteem, that will show your followers that they should have one too. A positive Self-Esteem = Positive Leadership

12 Composure You MUST have composure when dealing with followers.
If you loose it every time someone says something, then they’ll think you don’t care about them.

13 Composure Cont’d Green Light- This is your happy place you should stay here 80% of the time Yellow Light- This is when you’re confused and start get irrational 15% of the time for this light Red Light- This is when youre mad and take it out on everyone 5% of the time

14 Character Having character, is a good thing to have when calmly leading. Character, explains to everyone else who YOU are.

15 Enforcing the Rules “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”-Voltaire & Ben Parker When you’re leading, there are still rules everyone must follow.

16 Vocally Leading Just saying youre a leader isn’t going to cut it.
You must show to your superiors that you are capable of being a great leader. You must lead your followers with your mouth sometimes rather than actions.

17 Rewards of Leadership The rewards of leadership are great.
You get to see your followers grow into great people once led by YOU! Take pride in that!

18 Expectations Everything isn’t always gonna go your way.
You must know how to avoid certain problems and how to get around them if you come across them.

19 Closing Remarks In conclusion, being a leader isn’t always going be easy but it’s worth it in the long run! Stay Humble an Stay Great!
