Did you know? Did you know that the soldiers had to spend most of their time in trenches.They don’t sleep at night but they sleep at afternoon.They don’t sleep at night because they need to be ready.

What is Remembrance day?
Remembrance day is the day to remember the soldiers who took part in World War 1. It is at 11th of November (11/11) at 11 o clock. People wears poppies at Remembrance day.People does two minutes of silence to remember the people who gave up their lives.

Why do we wear poppies? We wear poppies to represent the people who
died at WW1. The poppy was the first flower that bloomed at the battlefields of Flanders during WW1. The bright red represents blood shed during the war.

What is Remembrance sunday?
Remembrance sunday is the second sunday in November. It is the sunday that is closest to Remembrance day. Many ceremonies are held across the UK to remember those who lost their lives for us.

White and purple poppies
White poppies are worn by pacifists (those who oppose all conflict and war) as a way to show peace. Purple poppies are produced from a charity called, Animal Aid and reminds people about the animals that lost their lives.

A little more information
What started out as a local European was soon became a global war that lasted from WW1 was the first war that involved nations (28)from around the world, and is commonly called the great war or the war to end all wars.
