4. Problem Statement
Bridge inspectors utilized paper forms in the field and then entered data into the Bridge Management System after they returned to the office. The data was handled twice.
Photos were stored separately.
Bridge managers and inspectors did not have the ability to review inspection and inventory data in the field.

6. Value Uploads data directly into the Bridge Management System database
User handles data once
Allows picture and note collection within the system
Easy access in the field to past reports or reference manuals

7. More to do
Once 3D bridge design and construction files are further implemented, these 3D location and element specific models would be uploaded into the application rather than using generic models.
Add capability to incorporate more complex bridges.
Also, the digital nature of this application may allow GPS tracking and remote sensing type overlays.
