1 Welcome to the assembly of the 160th Ave. Church of Christ!

These cards? Our tracts? Conversations? Find a way! And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? (Rom. 10:14)

3 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Col. 3:2-4 NKJV

Kingdom Sin and death Love Abraham: the father of all those who believe (Rom. 4:11)

5 Prophecy of kingdom God said it again
And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (Dan. 2:44 NKJV) The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people. (Gen. 49:10 NKJV) 1. King and kingdom in prophecy A. This is the same promise as was made to Abraham: this kingdom is the blessing for all nations. B. God gave these prophecies by using a variety of terms: king (Gen. 49:10; 2 Sam. 7:13; Ps. 2, 89; Is. 2:2-3; 49:8), lamb (Passover, Leviticus), and prophet (Deut. 18:15-18). C. Through Daniel, God makes one of the most plain predictions of the kingdom Dan. 2:44 (2:38; 5:31; 8:20-21) D. Col. 1:13-14, 18 1. God declares that the kingdom is here and belongs to His Son. 2. Understanding the kingdom (the saved group) prepares us to teach.

A. The altar, sheep, and offerings in Genesis 22 shows that Abraham and Isaac knew about sin and death. B. A message repeated Gen. 2:17; Leviticus (blood of the sin offering); Ezek. 18:20; Rom. 6:23.While sin and death are not our favorite things to hear, where else do we hear of them together? C. What has God done to keep it in our memory and vocabulary? D. When I am tempted to minimize my sin, I need to hear God’s message again. God said it again

James says that the events of Genesis 22 are one reason Abraham is called the friend of God (Js. 2:23). In addition to faith, the love of a true friend was present and active. B. Jesus and Paul agree that the greatest commandment is love Mt. 22:37 (Deut. 6:5); 1 Cor. 13:13 (Col. 3:14) C. When love begins with God.... (1 Jn. 4:7; 1 Cor. 13:4-7; 1 Jn. 5:3) D. This love must be seen in us today (2 Thess. 3:11-15; 2 Cor. 2:6-8; Gal. 2:11; 5:3,12, 13-15 God said it again
