1 Welcome to Ms. Widdowson’s Kindergarten
Please fill out the salmon, red, white, and blue forms at your child’s seat and turn in to the bins by the door. After our meeting, your child will be brought back to Room Then you will be able to help your child put his/ her things away in the labeled bins in the back of the room. Fill out forms on Rycor (in cafeteria) today. 2 Transportation, Transportation, Transportation!
Place Blue tag with Pipe cleaner on backpack Students wear Purple tags for 1st 2 weeks of school Any changes to transportation must be made in writing. No s, No Faxes, No Phone Calls! Only approved/listed adults may pick their kg. student off the bus. (Please come to the bus stop with a valid picture ID) Children are not allowed to ride other buses home with friends. Children that will be daily/weekly car riders in the afternoon must register for a car pass with the front office (in lobby today). Random early dismissal parent pick-ups will dismiss from the office. Daycare riders-please be sure to notify your daycare in the event of a change in your child’s afternoon dismissal. PLEASE WRITE NAME OF DAYCARE ON TRANSPORATION FORMS. Send your child on the bus the first day if your plan is to be a bus rider for the year! The reason for this is that we have extra help the first few days! Be prepared for early/late buses during the first week of school!

3 In supply box… Please use label stickers with your child’s name and put on each folder and composition notebook, and then place in the proper bins in the back. 2 pencils 1 box of crayons 1 glue stick 1 pair of scissors 1 pink eraser Extras of these items go in the labeled ziplock bag located in your child’s folder, then go in the bin in the back

4 Lunch and Snack ALLERGY ALERT Lunch buyers
Add money to your child’s account today in the cafeteria. Send any lunch money in a labeled bag/envelope. Discuss ahead of time with your child what they should get for lunch. Put restrictions on your child’s lunch account. (snacks on Fridays, etc…) Make Ms. Pair, Cafeteria Manager, aware of any food allergies or food restrictions your child has. Students that registered yesterday or today need to go to the cafeteria to receive their lunch number. Packers Send a healthy lunch with your child along with utensils and napkins. Help your child practice opening containers/packages so they can be independent at lunch. Discuss with your child what to do with unfinished/unopened food. Manners are very important in the cafeteria. Children are expected to remain in their seats until the end of lunch when they are asked to clean up and throw away their own trash. Snack One healthy snack and water. No other drinks allowed in the classroom.

5 Parent and Student Must-Dos
Parents Support your children every day by helping them take on the responsibilities of being a successful student by coming prepared for the day. Send them off in the morning with words of encouragement and the challenge to learn or try something new for the day. Welcome them in the afternoon with a desire to hear about their day and check their folder DAILY for news, notes, work and their behavior chart. Students Pack up your backpack with your folder, lunch/snack, and library book. Come to school well-rested and ready to learn. Wear shoes that are safe for playing at PE/Recess EVERY DAY!
