LUCCC Dialogue Climate change diplomacy Launching of the LUCCC in Nepal Manjeet Dhakal, Faculty for Climate Change, SchEMS 16 February 2018

2 Introduction a South-South collaborative network for enhancing research capacity and expertise in climate change to network and enhance the capacity of Southern universities to develop common research projects and implement teaching and training programs in different climate change topics. to enable LDC universities and research institutes to serve as repositories of knowledge and suppliers of capacity.

Advisory panel Senior representative from Universities, and members of government agencies and development partners Advisory role with high-level and strategic guidance Working team A small team led by LUCCC Nepal's focal point with representation from all possible universities Day to day operational responsibility and implementation of LUCCC activities in Nepal LUCCC Youth University graduates and students Support the working team and lead activities as assigned

8 Proposed list of Immediate activities
LUCCC Dialogue: a dialogue on climate change diplomacy and other related issues will be organized regularly (quarterly). LUCCC Youth: platform for the graduate students to engage contribute further Climate negotiations preparation: organize a series of interactions to bridge expectations of national stakeholders and national position to prepare for global negotiations
