‘Hope’ is certainly the word of the moment, as the church welcomes Dave McDowell as its formal Pastoral Worker this month, following the completion of his training at Spurgeon’s College. With four new people due to be welcomed into membership and a growing sense of unity across the church, it is an exciting new season for all at Leigh Beck Baptist Church on Canvey Island, Essex.

Please pray for Dave our Pastoral Worker as he begins his new role this month. For God’s guidance as we begin to consider how we might develop better community relationships and outreach work. For the children and young people attending Anchor Boys and youth club; that opportunities would occur to show and share our faith with them in relevant ways.
