1 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Objective: To understand how to draw texture on to objects. Outcome: To be able to use, texture to communicate and represent our design ideas. Starter Look at this chair What material is it made from? How do you know this? What would you expect it too look like if it was made from glass?

2 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Texture can be of great help in conveying the form of an object and the material from which it is made. Task 1-2 Render each shape to show the different reflective properties of the surface textures. What do I need to consider with the sides of the cube?

3 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Task 1-2 Render each shape to show the different reflective properties of the surface textures. What do I need to consider with the sides of the cube?

4 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Task 3: Using what you have learnt, render each of these objects in the relevant surface texture. LS Extension: Now correctly add shadow based on the LS LS LS

5 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Task 4: Can you now render a section of a house elevation with the relevant surface texture in black and white? The chimney is concrete, the panels are wood and the window is glass.

6 Year 7 Graphics - Texture
Plenary: Drawing Blind Game Working in pairs, Person A is blindfolded. Person B then draws an object that is related to one of the 3 textures learnt in todays lesson. Person B then passes the image to Person A who has to try and draw the relevant surface texture correctly in the right position with Person B explaining where to draw. Homework: Draw and render with surface texture something from home that is either wood, concrete or glass.
