EducateNXT Establishing a Bluetooth Connection To turn Bluetooth on – Click when the Brick is first turned on until Bluetooth appears; select. Scroll using the until the On/Off is reached. Bluetooth can be switched on or off.

EducateNXT Establishing a Bluetooth Connection Important: The Bluetooth connection will need to be set up on the Leader (or Master). For the purpose of this connection the Leader (Master) will be Edddy, Edddy Freddy Master Edddy Slave Freddy... and the Follower (Slave) will be Freddy.

EducateNXT Establishing a Bluetooth Connection The first time one NXT Brick is connected to another, it is necessary to search for it. In the Bluetooth menu on the Leader robot, select the Search option And wait... this can take a little while.

EducateNXT Establishing a Bluetooth Connection After the search is complete, an array of visible Bluetooth devices will appear. Scroll using the left or right buttons until the Brick to connect to is identified; press select Jims phone Mays laptop

EducateNXT Go through the Connection and Passkey screens without changing the default settings. Establishing a Bluetooth Connection The Passkey screen on the other robot should also be accepted. & The robots should now be linked.

EducateNXT Establishing a Bluetooth Connection Look closely at the screen in the top-left corner The Bluetooth Connection symbol should now be complete. Running both the Leader (Master) and Follower (Slave) programs on the respective bricks should have Bluetooth messages flying through the ether... and robots telling each other what to do!

EducateNXT After a connection has been established, it is stored in the brick for easy bluetoothing later on. For future reference: Establishing a Bluetooth Connection Go to my contacts in the Bluetooth Menu.

Naming NXT Bricks A name can be added to the brick as follows: Ensure the brick is connected to the computer and NXT-G software is open.
