2 What are graduation requirements?

3 English READ DESCRIPTIONS ON THE ONLINE COURSE DESCRIPTION CATALOG
English is a year-long course. Circle English OR Advanced English 9 What’s the difference? Short Answer: Common core outcomes are the same. An advanced level course typically covers more material in greater depth.

4 Social Studies/Health
You will take 1 semester of Civics and 1 semester of Health.

5 Your math class will be pre-loaded based on your current enrollment.
Most Freshmen take Algebra I Your math class will be pre-loaded based on your current enrollment. Math is a year-long course

6 Science You may choose Biology or Advanced Biology
Biology is a year-long class

7 Electives Some electives are year-long classes. These include classes like foreign languages, choir, and band. Some electives are only a semester long, and you will need to choose two semester- long electives to fill a slot for a year.

8 Some Electives to Consider
Social Studies You are required to earn 3.5 social studies credits to graduate. If you take social studies as an elective during your freshmen year, you will only be left with required Modern World History, US History, and Government. Art You are required to take 2 semesters of visual or performance art before graduation Physical Education You are required to take 1 semester of P.E. before graduation CTE (Career Technical Education) Exploration Courses Great classes to explore possible career interests

9 Zero Hour Space in zero hour classes is limited for freshmen. If you would like to add a zero hour for one or both semesters, you will need to let your counselor know when we come back to do enrollment. The only zero hour available for freshmen is Weights.

10 Alternate Selections Since some classes fill quickly or are eliminated during the summer, it is important to choose some alternate selections. Those classes will only be added to your schedule if your first choices are unavailable.

11 Conference with your Parents
Remember to discuss your course selections with your parents before we return to enter your choices online. You can find course descriptions on the career cruising website. Have your enrollment planner at school on your enrollment day. If you are absent that day, you can still submit your choices on Pathfinder. If you have changed your Career Cruising/Pathfinder password, you will need to know it on enrollment day. 12 Frequently Asked Questions
Schedule?? LHS operates on a 7 hour day. If you take a 0 hour, you can take 8 classes Pathfinder will not allow you to enter 8 classes, so you will need to inform your counselor on enrollment day IF you want 0 hour weights. Is foreign language required? No. Foreign language is NOT required for graduation. However, many colleges RECOMMEND two years of foreign language for college admittance. We encourage you to consider foreign language for one of your year-long electives. Lunch?? LHS has an open lunch periods. You have the option of eating in the school cafeteria or going out.
