2. PURPOSE
To ensure eligible TSMs are aware of the Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) that can provide them with TRICARE like benefits for 180 days.

3. WIIFM?
Medical/Dental care for you and your family without the risk of ever being uninsured.

4. TAMP (Transitional Assitance Management Program)
- TRICARE-like benefits for 180 days after separating
- Quarterly premiums and deductibles for care
- Make sure you and your family members are enrolled in DEERS

5. TAMP Eligibility
Involuntarily separated from active duty with SPD code that designates transitional benefits
Members held on orders in support of contingency operations

6. HEALTH INSURANCE MARKETPLACE
Helps uninsured find health coverage

7. DENTAL COVERAGE DURING TAMP
Dental care provided in military dental treatment facilities on space- available basis
VA provides one-time dental care within the 180 days of separation note: Members will not receive dental care if military provided dental within 90 days prior to separation.

8. COMMUNITY BASED WARRIOR TRANSITION UNITS
Allow recuperating members to live at home and to access medical facilities near home while remaining on active duty
Physical evaluation board has responsibility for determining fitness for duty or any service connected disability

9. MEDICAL CARE FOR RETIREES
TRICARE Prime
TRICARE Select
TRICARE for Life note: Supplemental insurance policy is a good idea for retirees.

10. CONTINUED HEALTH CARE BENEFIT PROGRAM (CHCBP)
Transitional healthcare similar to TAMPS, but is not a part of TRICARE
Members separating voluntarily are eligible
Up to 18 months of coverage
Members have 60 days after separation to enroll in CHCBP
