2 Variable Notes on page 41:
A factor in an experiment that changes or could be changed. Example: Wings folded or not folded on helicopter Spin of the helicopter

3 Independent Variable The variable that is changed on purpose. Example:
Ways the wings were folded.

4 Dependent Variable The variable that responds to the independent variable Example: Spin of the helicopter. Clockwise or counter-clockwise

5 Control The standard for comparison in an experiment, the independent variable is not applied to control group. Example: Helicopter without wings folded back.

6 Constant A factor in an experiment that is kept the same in all trials
Example: Same person drop the helicopter from the same height each trial.

7 Repeated Trials The number of times an experiment is repeated for each value of the independent variable. Write in your own words.
