1 Probability Probability measures the likelihood of an event occurring.
The range of probability of an event occurring ranges from 0 – 1.

2 Probability Spectrum Decimals 0 0.25 0.5 0.75 1 Percentages Fractions
Certain Likely Even Chance Unlikely Impossible Decimals Percentages Fractions

3 Probability as a Fraction
Probability = Number of favourable outcomes Number of possible outcomes The probability of getting a head in a coin toss = 1 2 Number of favourable outcomes Number of possible outcomes

4 Theoretical Probability
Theoretical probability looks at what would be the most likely outcome of an even. For example: If I toss a coin 10 times, theoretically I should get 5 heads and five tails. If I roll a dice 6 time, theoretically I should get a 1, then a 2, then a 3, then a 4, then a 5, then a 6.

5 Experimental Probability
Experimental probability is the probability outcome that results from an experiment or you actually testing a probability idea. For example: If I toss a coin 10 time, the theoretical probability is that I will get 5 heads and 5 tails. When trying this out, if I get 7 heads and 3 tails. Despite the theoretical probability of 5 heads and five tails, my experimental probability differed with 7 heads and 3 tails.

6 Theoretical Probability vs Experimental Probability
Theoretical probability is the most likely outcome, while experimental probability is the actual outcome we achieve...
