14 Your Assistant Governor
Assists with implementing the Planning Guide for Effective Rotary Clubs Reviews progress toward goals Encourages the club to follow suggestions from the governor Plans governor’s visit Identifies future leaders Your AG should visit your club AT LEAST four times during the year. When the AG visits, he/she should be invited to address the club on issues of interest to the members. Your AG is a resource for you, particularly in helping with the goal setting process. You AG can also be helpful in assisting you to overcome challenges within your club. How you run the club is up to you but the AG can be a support for you if required. The visit of the DG is a highlight event during the year and your AG should liaise with you and the other club presidents in the area to ensure the visit is organized to give clubs an opportunity to showcase their successes and to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the club. The experienced AG will be able to help identify leaders in your club who may be interested in working beyond the club level.

15 Assistant Governors Your AG will be announced at PETS for many clubs they will be the same as this year for others they will be new. I hope that in most cases you will get to meet and spend some time at PETS with your AG.
