Family values form the basis of our businesses’ Core Values.  We want giving, unselfish people working at the company.  United Way is best way to give back to the community. Not about what the family’s individual passion, but about what our employees want and how we can best serve the community.  We encourage our employees to volunteer and be involved in the community.  United Way can help facilitate this.  Today, Millennials expect their companies to be involved in the community.  Our participation in UW has helped in our recruiting great employees. 5 Bobrick’s United Way Campaign
No intimidation or coercion to give (always a peer-to-peer solicitation) – our employees own the Campaign at each of our six divisions.  We have the committees visit United Way agencies, give time for rallies, use payroll deduction.  Excluding our family members, we match dollar for dollar (to encourage giving).  2015 results, with just over 500 employees our divisions ranged from 75% to 94% participation, with per capita giving >$200 employee = $110K which were matched by the company, plus the family gifts.
