Direct: to learn about the normal behavior of people or animals in their natural environments. A researcher watches and records while the action is happening Indirect : depends on the reports of others, not observable to the person

5. 2 types of observations
Qualitative- using your 5 senses to make observations
Quantitative- observations that involve numbers and measurements

6. Inference
a conclusion or opinion that is formed because of known facts or evidence.
