As you read the article, consider yourself a detective who has an interview planned with the author. In the boxes provided, ask a question spurred by the preceding text. You will then collaborate with others to determine the most important questions you would like to ask.

You Be the Judge: Identifying Effective evidence
As you read the text, consider the claim statement: Asteroid mining is a lucrative business that benefits economic and scientific development. Work with a partner to rank the pieces of evidence on the worksheet that support the claim statement from 1 (best supports the claim) to 6 (not as highly supportive). In the space provided, use reasoning to explain how the evidence supports the claim statement. Provide a counterclaim from the text and support it with one piece of evidence from the article.
