1 Use of chip-enabled Debit Cards has continued to increase since close of 2016 and is now on par with Credit Cards with almost 3 out of 4 using the technology 2018 (n=516) Chip No Chip Chip No Chip - Women tend to use chip-enabled Debit Cards more so than Men, 75% to 66% respectively - Men tend to use chip-enabled Credit Cards more so than Women, 81% to 71% respectively Data obtained from online survey conducted with Socratic Technologies through an online consumer panel in April 2018 asking consumers about their experience and perceptions of chip card in the United States.
