Overview
This course aims to refresh and update skills in managing the difficult airway
and to provide practical hands on experience in techniques outlined in the DAS
guidelines.
RCoA have awarded 5 CPD points.

Content
Dedicated session on Awake Fibreoptic Intubation.
4 hours of hands on workshops which include: -
Nasal fibreoptic intubation (inc. scope trainer,
retrograde, Bonfils)
Oral fibreoptic intubation (inc ILMA & Aintree/LMA)
Cricothyroidotomy/jet ventilation
Video/indirect scopes (Glidescope, C-Mach, Airtraq)
Paediatric airway
Simulator session
Case based discussion
Bronchoscopy simulator
Obstetric airway
