1. Lutheran Hour Ministries is a Christian outreach ministry supporting churches worldwide in its mission of Bringing Christ to the Nations – and the Nations to the Church. LHM produces Christian radio and TV programming, as well as Internet and print communications, dramas, music, and outreach materials, to reach those who need Christ throughout the world.
In this training, we will focus on what the LHM Ambassador Program is and what the roles are of LHM Ambassadors.

2. The LHM Ambassador Program and The Role of the LHM Ambassador
The LHM Ambassador Program is a partnership between LHM and congregations where LHM helps the congregation in their various outreach and ministry opportunities. A volunteer in each congregation serves as an LHM Ambassador who keeps his or her congregation informed on what programs LHM has to offer to help with their missions. Together we can open a world of outreach opportunities to congregations and help people come to know the love of Jesus!

3. The Role of the LHM Ambassador
Informs congregation on programs LHM has to offer to help their outreach ministries
Encourages others to participate through:
volunteering
giving
prayer
The LHM Ambassador is a volunteer who keeps their congregation informed on what programs LHM has to offer to help with their missions. The Ambassador also encourages their congregation to participate in the work of this ministry through volunteering, giving, and prayer.

4. LHM Ambassador Duties Creates awareness
The role of an LHM Ambassador is to:
Create awareness for the programs of LHM within the congregation wherever and whenever possible using a wide variety of communication channels. An Ambassador could deliver church and small group presentations, put announcements in the Sunday bulletin and newsletters, or on bulletin boards, set up displays, and handout pamphlets at church.

Encourages participation in LHM projects
Encourage participation in LHM projects, like Mens Network, Mission U, five14, volunteer trips, and the use of LHM resources such as Project Connect topical booklets.

3. Plans and promotes Lutheran Hour Ministries Sunday or one event annually to specifically promote Lutheran Hour Ministries.

7. Sign up online for weekly e-newsletters as well as Ministry Update, Church & School, and any other newsletters that pertain to the specific outreach programs of your congregation. These will keep you up to date on what is going on at LHM and programs that your church could use!

When recruiting LHM Ambassadors , we look for certain characteristics, such as:
Being passionate about outreach and the ministries of your congregation.
