VERY reactive so they are never found alone

Not found as free elements in nature
Uses: Mg in white fireworks, Strontium in red
Calcium Phosphate in your body keeps bones strong

7. Transition Metals Group 3-12 Occur as individual elements
Form colored compounds: cobalt= blue cadmium=yellow

Copper, silver, gold- stable and malleable so we make coins with them
