A festival celebrated in Poland is the Drowning of Marzanna. Marzanna is a pagan springtime festival that signals the end of winter. On this day, women would make a doll of Marzanna (the goddess of death) out of straw and rags, and then they would would toss the doll into the water with the other villagers.

Machinery and vehicles are the most exported goods from Poland. One of the many famous companies in Poland is Ericpol. Ericpol is a Polish company founded in 1991 in Łódź that specialises in the production and development of software, as well as enterprises that base their activities on modern technologies.

Poland wasn’t involved in World War 1. Since Poland didn’t even exist as an independent country during this time, the territory was instead divided up among the German, Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires. So when war broke out, about two million Polish soldiers found themselves fighting for two different sides.
