15 Expansion cards Memory expansion with IFC-MC
Increase project memory with up to 8Mb Back-up of recipes and projects Transfer of files to other terminals Profibus DP IFC-PBDP Slave connection to Profibus DP TCP/IP network IFC-ETTP, IFC-ETCX Terminal network and Internet enable via Ethernet

16 Expansion cards External function keys with IFC-128E
For connection of up to 128 extra function-keys Parallel printer with IFC-PI For connection of an parallel printer A-bus interface IFC-GA (E900/E910 only) Direct connection to the A-bus

17 IFC-PI - Parallel printer port
Print outs of graphic and text blocks, reports and alarm lists Graphics requires a HP PCL5, HP PCL6 or Epson FX80 compatible printer If IFC PI is used a printer can not be connected to the RS-232 port E300 and E600 have no support for HP PCL5/6 printers Black and white print outs only

18 IFC-PI - Parallel printer port
Connectable to E300 version 4.0 or higher (only with Epson FX-80) E600 version 4.02 or higher (only with Epson FX-80) E700 version 4.0 or higher E710 version 4.0 or higher E900 version 1.01 or higher E910 version 4.02 or higher

19 IFC-GA - Direct bus connection
With the expansion card, IFC-GA, and the bus-interface A7GT-BUS installed, you can connect the E900 and E910 terminals directly to the base unit on an A(nS)-system. The communication between the PLC and the terminal will be very effective with the IFC-GA, because the terminal communicates directly with the A-bus on the PLC. The standard RS-232/422 ports will be free for other equipment.

20 The new concept Before: Today: Project Project Driver Terminal code +
Drivers Project Terminal code Driver Project Omron.dll Omron.hlp Omron.pdf

21 The new concept Downloadable drivers
All terminals in the E series from version 4.0 The driver and the system program are separated in the terminal New drivers can be used without a update of MP+ Installation via Internet using MP+ or from floppy (first download from web) Current driver is automatically transferred to the terminal by MP+ New standard cables to new PLC systems Manual in pdf-format to each driver WEB

22 2 ports gives you freedom
Transparent mode Communication with the PLC system via the terminal Mitsubishi Omron Matsushita No protocol mode - Communication with external units i.e. barcode readers Serial printer
