a. stoics could differ sharply among themselves b. Kathekonta derived from practical intelligence (i.e. virtue) -not detachable from virtuous disposition c. According to Chrysippus, we are all integral components of the cosmopolis. d. Ethics should be founded on the experience of nature - Chrys (MacIntyre would "approve" of this moral philosophy e. Oikeiosis provides this "coincidence between full self-realization, perfect rationality, and moral virtue"

We share the faculty of rationality It is normal to develop relationships with other people Some degree of regard for one another is natural for humans How can a shared property of humans (rationality), be perfected exclusively on an individual basis?

“Reason is the natural foundation of our social life. So perfect reason will determine a perfect moral life, a life of living well in society” (174).
