5. Practicum Overview
Research and develop designs for a custom Communication Series; presenting three classes for the Bixby/Herrick Medical Center Nursing Education Program.
Classes will be offered to nursing staff of both facilities as well as other staff members that are interested.
Including specific goals and objectives set by the Program Administrator (Pat Myers).

6. Current Objectives
Attend program meetings and webinars set by Pat Myers.
Research communication.
Research, design and develop three communication courses.
Crucial Conversations
Proper Tech Etiquette
Horizontal Communication
Provide one hour PowerPoint presentations on the three topics to be presented.
Attend webinar on Communications in the Workplace.
Measure success of communication series after implementation.

7. Current Status Since our last class meeting,
Researched communication DVDs and class options (found they were too $ for our budget),
Met with Pat to discussed option and expectations,
Researched and continued to read materials about communication.
Continuing to complete practicum hours through research,
and development of the three class topics to be presented.
To date I have 52 hours completed.

8. Lessons Learned so far:
Be patient with all processes.

9. Next Steps Continue to complete practicum hours:
Through meetings with Pat Myers,
Attending webinars,
Research and development of the three courses to be presented on communication.
Class one is scheduled to be presented in December.
Class two is scheduled to be presented in January.
Class three is scheduled to be presented in February.
