If you see a co-worker doing something you know is unsafe, what shall you do? A) Pretend you don't see it, because you don't want to provoke an argument. B)Think to yourself," Serves him right. It's his fault if he gets hurt." C)Step in and acknowledge the unsafe behavior by saying you're concerned about the person's safety. Then, you should suggest a safer alternative. D) Tell your supervisor The best answer is "C". If you approach in a non-threating, caring way, you should be able to get your point across to your co-worker. Say "I don't want to see you get hurt. You could have an accident . I'll show you a safer way to do it. Of course, I expect you will do the same for me. After all, shouldn't we all watch out for each other?"

Recognize any unsafe conditions. Correct it yourself or report it immediately. Avoid rushing and taking shortcuts or taking risks to get the job done. Stay focused. Distractions can lead to accidents. Tips Know how to do your job correctly and safely. If you are unsure how to perform a task, ask your supervisor. Improve safety by sharing concerns and solutions. Consider others, you have a responsibility to yourself , your co-workers and your family. Set a good example for others. Don't be a bystander when it comes to safety!
