Ate Reckless Behavior Example: Announcing to Polyphemus who he is while trying to escape. Yes, it’s also hubris but his rash action led to Poseidon wishing to make Odysseus’ life miserable.

Nemesis Enemy Someone (or something that causes misery or death)
Example: Poseidon Detail of Nemesis and Tykhe (Fortune) from a scene of the seduction of Helene. Nemesis points with a dissaproving finger as Helene is persuaded by Aphrodite to elope with Paris. Tykhe is presumably here a dispensor of ill-fortune, following the guidance of her indignant sister.
