1 English /8/16 Period 1 - Five minutes to study for Vocab Per. 2,7 – What is the most compelling evidence you have found on either side of your issue? Is it from a reputable source? How many doctors does it take to screw in a light bulb? Homilophobia – fear of sermons. Goals – Discuss essay structure. Go to the lab to write intro or analysis paragraphs. Homework – Continue research in to differing view points or possible solutions to the issue. How much insurance do you have?

2 English /9/16 What solutions can you think of that will ameliorate the environmental issue you are studying? How will it impact the stakeholders? Why are there so many Johnsons in the phone book? Mysophobia – fear of dirt. Goals – Complete a rough draft of CBA essay that has five paragraphs: intro, human impact, stakeholders, analysis of differing viewpoints, and solutions. Homework – Complete the rough draft as described above if you didn’t get it done in class. Because they all have phones.

3 English /10/16 Early release. No Opener, directly to computer lab to work on CBA. How many Amish does it take to screw in a light bulb? Aboulia – loss of willpower. Goals – Discuss vocabulary and cool quotes from chapter 3. The depression. Begin Chapter 4. Homework – Read and annotate TKAM up to at least Chapter 4. What’s a light bulb?

4 English /12/15 Write on a subject of your choice. Perhaps something you are using in your paper? A clear conscience is a sign of a bad memory. Laclabphily – cheese label collecting. Goals – Learn rules and see examples of correct citations for the works cited page. Also learn how to use parenthetical notes in the essay. Homework – Complete your Works Cited page and make sure you have a parenthetical note in you paper for each work cited.

5 English 10 - 2/13/15 Write on a subject of your choice.
The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how hard it was. Atrocibilia – collector of relics associated with mass murder, execution, etc. Goals – Final check on hook, link to hook, transition words, transition key word repetition, and vocabulary extra credit. Print and submit papers with Homework – Study for vocab 17 on Tuesday!
