2 Definition of bullying/ what is the issue
Bullying use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants. Studies show that people who are abused by their peers are at risk for mental health problems.

3 How prevalent/common is bullying
Unfortunately for students everywhere bullying is often prevalent throughout a child’s educational years from elementary school to middle school and even into high school. Its common cause 20 percent of students reported they had been bullied on and off school property.

4 Statistics of bullying
More than one out of every five (21.5%) students report being bullied. 64% of children who were bullied did not report it; only 36% reported the bullying. More than half of bullying situations (57%) stop when a peer is on behalf of the student being bullied. School based bullying prevention programs decrease bullying by up to 25%. The reasons for being bullied reported most often by students were looks (55%), body shape (37%), and race (16%).

5 Has bullying gotten better or worse over the years?
Bullying has been getting worse in American schools because many studies have shown that increasing domestic violence at home are leading to an increase in bullying online and at school.

6 Are there any medications/programs/support groups available for bullying? How can people get help to overcome or correct bullying? Their psychiatric medication to treat aggression in children A program called Olweus bullying prevention program is available and people help us by reducing existing bullying problems among students, preventing the development of new bullying problems, achieving better peer relations at school. There are Depression support groups they can help because they have different jobs like; someone to talk to groups and someone who understands groups, Self-Empowerment groups, forming social networks groups.

7 How can teachers/parents/coaches/friends help someone with bullying?
Teachers need to know the school and district policies on bullying. Treat students and others with warmth and respect. Parents need to talk with and listen to their children everyday. Make sure that their children understands bullying. Friends should never join in or watch bullying. Stop any rumors, if someone tells you gossip, don’t pass it on to others. Stand up for the person. Tell an adult. Encourage the bullied person to talk to an adult. Most importantly offer support.
